Before entering politics, Imran Khan was a prominent international cricketer, known for his exceptional skills as an all-rounder. He captained the Pakistan national cricket team to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup, which remains the country's only World Cup win to date.
In 1996, Imran Khan founded the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which gained prominence over the years as a significant political force in Pakistan. He ran for office multiple times before being elected as Prime Minister in the general elections held in July 2018.
